NAREE is the only professional association of real estate writers, columnists, bloggers and editors covering the broad field of real estate — from home and design, green building and sustainable design — to commercial, financial and residential real estate.
The competition is being judged by the journalism faculty at the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University for clarity of writing, objectivity, originality, depth of reporting and design (if applicable). Winner of NAREE’s Platinum Award will received a $1,000 cash prize. Winner of the President’s Award for Best Freelance Collection will receive a $500 cash prize. And the Ruth Ryon Best Young Journalist winner and 25 category winners will received $250 each. The competition offers a total of 75 category awards for both individual journalists, teams of journalists and publications, broadcast stations and Web sites.
