Affordable Housing Apartment Buildings Receive USGBC LEED Gold Certification

Casper, WY – February 28, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The Sunshine Apartments, which consist of two separate apartment buildings – one building sitting on the same site where the KC Apartments once were, have been awarded LEED Gold certification by USGBC for achievement in green homebuilding and design. The Sunshine Apartment buildings are the first multifamily affordable housing units to receive a LEED Gold certification in Wyoming. LEED for Homes is a green home/building certification program that rewards homes/buildings that are designed and built to be energy- and resource-efficient and more healthy and durable for the occupants.
