Congressman Shri Thanedar Secures $959,752 to Replace Lead Service Lines in Detroit

Detroit, MI – RealEstateRama – Rep. Shri Thanedar is proud to announce that Detroit’s Water and Sewerage Department has started replacing the lead service lines in Detroit Neighborhoods with the goal of replacing 80,000 lead pipes.

  • $959,752 for the City of Detroit
  • $959,752 for the City of Wayne
  • $2,000,000 for the City of Dearborn Heights

Congressman Thanedar has also requested over 10 million in funds for the city of Wyandotte “Securing nearly $4 million in federal funds for the 13th Congressional District is a significant step towards addressing the urgent need for infrastructure improvements. With $959,752 allocated for the City of Detroit, $959,752 for the City of Wayne, and $2,000,000 for the City of Dearborn Heights, we are making real progress in ensuring our communities have the resources they need.” Rep.
