EXIT Realty Corp. International pledges $500,000 to Habitat for Humanity
ATLANTA – May 11, 2016 – (RealEstateRama) — EXIT Realty Corp. International, a real estate franchisor with brokerage operations throughout North America, has pledged $500,000 to Habitat for Humanity, bringing its total pledges to Habitat to $3 million to date.
EXIT Realty’s support of Habitat began in 2004, when the company sponsored its first home build in West Palm Beach, Florida. Since then, the company has sponsored 18 additional home builds in Canada and the U.S., and has participated in community revitalization projects and Habitat’s Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project.
“We are grateful for EXIT Realty’s continued support,” said Larry Gluth, senior vice president, U.S. and Canada, Habitat for Humanity International. “Because of partnerships like this, we are able to help build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.”
EXIT Realty has contributed not only cash donations to Habitat but also thousands of volunteer hours to assist in fundraising and construction.
“A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is pledged to Habitat for Humanity, and many of our associates, including myself, have volunteered for our various projects,” said Tami Bonnell, CEO of EXIT Realty. “We believe, as Habitat does, in the importance of giving someone a hand up. Our company is all about empowering individuals to make better lives for themselves and their families and so is Habitat. The organization does tremendous work and we are proud to be affiliated with them.”
About Habitat for Humanity
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity has grown from a grassroots effort that began on a community farm in southern Georgia in 1976 to a global nonprofit housing organization in nearly 1,400 communities across the U.S. and in over 70 countries. People partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.
