FEMA Offers Free Advice on Landscaping, Repairing, Rebuilding at Ventura Nursery

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -(RealEstateRama) — Thousands of homes and businesses were burned and countless structures damaged throughout Ventura and Los Angeles counties during the Hill and Woolsey wildfires.

As recovery efforts continue throughout the damaged areas, free advice is available concerning vegetation planting and landscaping, along with repairing or rebuilding homes and businesses to make them better, stronger, safer and less susceptible to the next disaster.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be in Ventura County at a local nursery to discuss fire-resistant vegetation and landscaping, along with offering information on rebuilding and repairing tips for homes and businesses.

Wednesday thru Saturday, Feb. 6 – Feb. 9, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, Feb.10, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Free reference booklets, in English and Spanish, with information on how to protect your home or business from natural disasters, will be available at each session. More information about strengthening property can be found at fema.gov/what-mitigation.
