FEMA Teams With Home Depot, Lowe?s To Provide Free Publications For Homeowners And Builders
LATHAM, N.Y. – April 8, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is providing free publications to help Suffolk County homeowners and contactors build more disaster-resistant homes.
FEMA publishes a variety of books, pamphlets and building plans that describe how to help protect homes against floods, high winds, and other potential disaster-related damage. The tips and techniques are specifically geared for the do-it-yourselfer and building contractors. Information on retrofitting buildings and elevating utilities is included.
Many of these publications will be available at Home Depot and Lowe’s stores April 11 -22. Supplies are limited.
