FIOCCHI SUPPORTS CALL FOR FEDERAL DISASTER RELIEF

-

WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 2, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Assemblyman Sam Fiocchi, R-Cumberland, Cape May and Atlantic, lauded the announcement by Gov. Christie today that New Jersey is seeking a Major Disaster Declaration under the federal Stafford Act for three South Jersey counties that sustained over $32 million in damages caused by the nor’easter on October 1. The governor is asking for funding to assist Cape May, Monmouth and Ocean counties.

“I appreciate the governor’s assistance in obtaining critical funding for Cape May County and other shore communities that were severely impacted by the nor’easter earlier this month. The infrastructure and beaches in many of these towns are in need of repair due to the extensive flooding and damaging winds. The sooner homeowners, businesses and towns receive financial assistance, the quicker they will be able to recover from the damage.”
