Pledges to Deliver the Best Services at the Best Value
Herndon, VA – July 1, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The Institute for Building Technology and Services (IBTS) today opened its new Municipal Services Center on Sullivan Road which will be the hub for public service delivery to the city’s 27,000 residents.
“We are thrilled to open our doors today to begin serving the residents and businesses of Central, working in close partnership with the Mayor and City Council,” said IBTS Chief Executive Officer Ashok Goswami. “Our goal is to provide the best possible services to the citizens at the best value over the next five years.”
IBTS will deliver a wide range of day-to-day public services including permits and inspections, planning and zoning, engineering, public works, finance, and administration. David Ratcliff, IBTS Program Director, will oversee day-to-day operations at the Municipal Services Center.
To ensure accountability and transparency, IBTS plans to provide regular reports to the Mayor, City Council, and to the public about the services it is delivering and upcoming plans. In addition, IBTS said it will seek frequent guidance from the Mayor and City Council to set priorities for successful service delivery and to meet changing needs.
“We intend to provide a model for public-private collaboration at its best in our partnership with the city of Central,” said IBTS Chief Operating Officer Shyam Choudhary. “We will be visible, accessible, and engaged in the community.”
IBTS has been working with Louisiana local governments since 2006 when it was selected to help implement the first statewide building code in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Today, IBTS provides a range of public services in 15 parishes and 30 municipalities in the state.
