IBTS L.O.V.E., an organization-wide day of service, will have its inaugural event this week.
Washington, DC – (RealEstateRama) — The Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is pleased to announce that its inaugural day of service, IBTS L.O.V.E. (Locally Organized Volunteer Event) will take place tomorrow, May 17, 2017.
As a nonprofit organization, IBTS continually strives to give back to the communities it serves. As part of this effort, IBTS has planned a day in which each of its offices will work in the surrounding communities to make a positive impact on each organization involved.
The headquarters office in Ashburn, VA, will be participating in IBTS L.O.V.E. by serving three different organizations: Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA), Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy in partnership with the Waterford Foundation, and an on-site event supporting Operation Gratitude.
Additionally, the Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY, offices will be working to help plant and maintain trees for the New York Parks Department. Due to a scheduling conflict, the Houston, TX, office will participating in IBTS L.O.V.E. on May 24th, where they will be working with Habitat for Humanity. Activities at each of these projects will include planting, wedding, building maintenance, writing letters to deployed troops, or constructing homes.
The Washington, D.C. office will be participating in the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) Community Improvement Day this fall, where they will work on phase two for the DCHA Benning Terrace Recreation Center. Additionally, the IBTS offices in Guymon, OK, and Central, LA, participate in community service events year-round.
“We are excited to kick off the first-ever IBTS L.O.V.E. tomorrow,” says Lindsay Weissbratten, Director of Human Capital at IBTS. “There has been a great deal of support surrounding this event, which we know will only grow with the following years’ events.”
“Community services is an important aspect to the IBTS business model,” says Ashok Goswami, Chief Executive Officer at IBTS. “We strive to make a positive impact not only in our client municipalities, but in our hometowns as well. IBTS L.O.V.E. is a great opportunity for us to spread our mission of providing quality services to the communities that we are a part of.”
