John Troughton Joins Kennedy Wilson Brokerage Group as Vice President
22-year commercial real estate veteran joins Northern California office
SACRAMENTO/BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – July 30, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — John Troughton, a 22-year commercial real estate veteran, has joined global real estate investment and services company Kennedy Wilson as vice president of its Brokerage Group. A well-known industry expert, over the years Troughton has received numerous accolades from the Governor of California, United States Congress, and several local governments for completing transactions that assisted in boosting local economies..
“John has significant transaction expertise and in-depth understanding of the East Bay area, Silicon Valley to Sacramento as well as Redding and greater Northern California,” said Donna Clark, senior managing director of Kennedy Wilson’s Properties Group in the company’s Northern California office. “As such, he will be one of the driving forces as we continue to expand our presence in Northern California.”
Prior to joining Kennedy Wilson, Troughton served as senior director and shareholder at Cushman & Wakefield, a New York real estate services company, where he represented leading privately held and public companies, completing over $1 billion of transactions and generating in excess of $300 million in upside since 2000. Among other projects, Troughton represented the creation of residential conversion products that have, to date, produced over 1,000 residential housing units. Previously, he served as vice president of Galbreath Company as a sales and leasing specialist in Silicon Valley.
Troughton’s expertise has been published in a variety of industry publications, including Reuters Buyouts, Commercial Property News, Site Selection and M&A Advisor. In addition, he
has also been a speaker at private equity and real estate conferences including the Milton Institute, Buyout, MNA Advisor, iGlobal Forum, NAIOP, Green Pearl and ICSC.
Troughton participated in the UC Berkley doctoral program in business with Janet Yellen as field chair, and earned his master’s and bachelor’s degrees at University of California, Santa Cruz with highest honors.
