WASHINGTON, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) – The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced that Kristy Fercho, Executive Vice President, President of Mortgage at Flagstar Bank, has been nominated to serve as MBA’s Vice Chairman for the 2020 membership year. She is expected to be installed at the association’s 106th Annual Convention this October in Austin, Texas.
“Kristy is an active MBA member and industry leader who will serve MBA and its members exceptionally well,” said MBA Chairman Christopher M. George, President and CEO of CMG Financial. “She is results-driven and brings a unique perspective, vision, and leadership skill set. I’m excited to have her on our leadership ladder.”
Fercho currently serves as a member of MBA’s Board of Directors and sits on MBA’s Audit Committee. She is also on the board of the Detroit Zoological Society and CityYear, and is a past president of the board of Habitat for Humanity, Chicago. MReport recognized her as one of its Top Women in Housing, and Diversity Journal listed her among its Women Worth Watching.
She joined Flagstar Bank in 2017 after 15 years with Fannie Mae, where she served as Senior Vice President, Customer Delivery Executive, responsible for the strategy and business performance of all single-family customers in the western United States. Prior to Fannie Mae, she worked for PepsiCo and Baxter Healthcare.
Fercho has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Business Administration from the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
