IRVINE, Calif. – (RealEstateRama) — International award-winning firm KTGY Architecture + Planning has hired noted industry expert Dawn M. Bridges as director of information technology (IT), it was announced today by Chief Operating Officer of KTGY, John Robison. Bridges brings to KTGY more than 20 years of experience in architecture-engineering-construction and technology management. She most recently served as global program manager for enterprise application services at Jacobs, a publicly-traded Fortune 500 company, and one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of technical professional and construction services.

As director of information technology at KTGY, Bridges is responsible for the overall strategy for IT firm-wide, as well as managing the day-to-day activities of the IT team and projects.
“Dawn’s primary goal is to facilitate enhanced collaboration among project teams, clients and consultants across multiple locations, constantly fostering IT at KTGY to be best-in-class,” said Robison.
At Jacobs, Bridges was instrumental in the continued implementation of the firm’s multi-office building information modeling (BIM) project system and the support of the firm’s technology strategies.
Prior to Jacobs, Bridges spent 12 years working at Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott, a national design firm in Boston, Mass. Her responsibilities at the firm ranged from architectural project management, facilitating collaborative teamwork for design and construction of large complex buildings including private, public, federal and international projects to chief technology officer (CTO). Her project work won several US and international design awards. As CTO, she managed all aspects of the firm’s information systems, technology services and firm-wide integration, as well as the formulation and implementation of the firm’s IT direction and delivery to support business goals and objectives.

Bridges has served as a member of AECIT Leaders national organization and the USACE/Industry BIM Advisory Committee. She has also been an annual participant in the AIA/CIO large firm roundtable for more than a decade. She is an Accredited Professional (AP) in Building Design + Construction from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and received her bachelor of architecture degree from Boston Architectural College in Boston, Mass.
