Labus will join moderator Annie Gerard, principal and co-founder of Apt Market Research of Costa Mesa, Calif., and panelists Kasey Burke, Meta Housing Corporation’s executive vice president; Brad Wiblin, vice president of San Francisco-based BRIDGE Housing Corporation; and Art May, USA Properties Fund senior vice president of development in a lively discussion about “How Good Design Can Save You Money.”
Labus and the panelists will discuss cost-saving measures regarding unit mix and sizes, project scale and density, parking type and ratio, and laundry facilities. “Producing quality affordable housing has never been easy and now with shrinking resources, knowing which cost-saving design and development strategies can be implemented is critical to success,” Labus said. “Good design can help reduce annual operating costs and bring down total project cost.”
