WASHINGTON, D.C. — (RealEstateRama) — Remodeler Tim Ellis, CAPS, CGP, CGR, GMR, Master CGP, of Bel Air, Md., was installed as the 2019 chair of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers during the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. As chair of NAHB Remodelers, Ellis represents nearly 50,000 members of NAHB who are involved in the remodeling industry.
“I am honored to serve as chair of NAHB Remodelers this year,” said Ellis, president and co-founder of T.W. Ellis. “I look forward to representing and serving those who exemplify professionalism and excellence in the remodeling industry.”
Ellis has over 25 years of experience in the remodeling industry and joined NAHB Remodelers in 2006. One of his remodeling projects was the first certified to the 2012 National Green Building Standard. Ellis has received several awards throughout his career, including NAHB Remodeler of the Year in 2014, Home Builders Association of Maryland (HBAM) Remodeler of the Year in 2009 and Builder of the Year in 2012. He was also a winner of Remodeling Magazine’s Big 50 in 2015, the 2016 Home Builders Care Foundation Community Builder winner and a Maryland Builders Industry Association Award of Excellence winner.
Ellis has served as chair of the HBAM Remodelers Council from 2013-2014, chaired the NAHB Green Remodeling Committee in 2013, is a NAHB National Director and has served many years on the NAHB Remodelers Board of Trustees. In addition to an excellent customer service record, Ellis is an active community volunteer who embodies the remodeling industry’s charitable spirit.
