WASHINGTON, D.C. – August 3, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Marcia Davies, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) has been honored as one of HousingWire’s 2015 Women of Influence. The list, in its fifth year, honors “40 leaders who range from servicers and lenders to tech innovators and heads of nonprofit organizations.” As COO, Davies is the second highest ranked executive within MBA.

Ms. Davies is the lead strategist for MBA’s external activities, providing leadership, guidance and overall management to the Public Affairs and Marketing Departments. Ms. Davies also provides strategic direction and management of MBA’s Conferences, and Operational Departments including, Information Technology, Education, Office Services and Membership.
“Marcia Davies has been a key player in bringing renewed energy and prominence back to the MBA, including a complete rebrand in 2013,” said HousingWire. “In the four years since joining the MBA, she has retooled the look, feel, and quality of conferences and helped lead the development of new conferences, such as the Diversity and Inclusion Conference.”
Previously to MBA, Ms. Davies worked at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), as Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner. She directed HUD’s industry relations program to strengthen relationships, garner support, streamline communications and resolve policy and regulatory issues.
Before joining HUD, Ms. Davies spent 21 years at Freddie Mac, where she held a variety of officer positions including Vice President of Strategy, Customer Outreach and Marketing; Vice President of Servicer Relations and Policy; and Vice President of Customer Outreach and Eligibility. Ms. Davies is a graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School in Montclair, N.J.
