Modular Building Institute to Join the ConsensusDocs Coalition and Release the First Industry Standard Modular Building Contract
Washington D.C. – RealEstateRama – The ConsensusDocs Coalition, as it marks its 13-year milestone, is announcing the addition of Modular Building Institute (MBI) to the Coalition, a unique group of now 41 associations dedicated to publishing best practice standard construction contracts to improve the design and construction industry. Moreover, ConsensusDocs plans to release the industry’s first prefabricated construction standard contract document in the third quarter of 2020.
“MBI is excited about the opportunity to join the ConsensusDocs Coalition and contribute to the great work already in place,” said Tom Hardiman, MBI’s Executive Director. “The new document symbolizes a greater acceptance of modular construction by the traditional construction community and will help to accelerate the industry’s productivity and growth. With the shortage of skilled construction workers and the massive infrastructure and housing needs, we see this document as one more tool for contractors to utilize to help address these challenges.”
“ConsensusDocs continued growth in participating organizations and updated offerings, demonstrates that in 13 years, ConsensusDocs is now the unmatched leader in standard construction contracts,” comments Brian Perlberg, Executive Director and Senior Counsel for ConsensusDocs.
Founded in 1983, the Modular Building Institute (MBI) is the international non-profit trade association serving modular construction. Members are manufacturers, contractors, and dealers.
