COLUMBIA, S.C. – January 23, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — South Carolina REALTORS® (SCR) held its annual LEAD conference at the Columbia Conference Center January 22, 2015. More than 200 Realtors® from across the state attended the event which featured speakers including: SCR President Fritzi Barbour, renowned real estate trends expert and speaker Sefan Swanepoel, SC Real Estate Commission Chairman David Crigler, South Carolina Speaker of the House Jay Lucas and SCR CEO Nick Kremydas.
While all other topics focused on leadership tips, Speaker of the House Jay Lucas discussed the upcoming legislative session and issues covered during Governor Haley’s State of the State address including South Carolina’s roads, education and jobs. He also took questions from the audience.
Attendees also got a sneak peek at the annual market report video, The Skinny, which covers the 2014 year and will be released to the public next week.
“Our LEAD program is designed to mold the best and brightest in real estate for leadership roles. This year’s program was especially valuable to members as they were able to get a clear picture of the future of real estate from Stefan Swanepoel and discuss topics important to our business with Speaker Lucas,” said CEO Nick Kremydas.
SCR’s next big event is the REALTOR® Rally, March 24th at the Statehouse. Hundreds of REALTORS® are expected to attend and rally for home ownership and quality of life issues.
