NAIOP Promotes Christopher Ware as Vice President for Business Development
NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, is pleased to announce that Christopher Ware has been promoted to vice president for business development.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – January 24, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Ware joined NAIOP and its business development department in 2001 as a sales manager and worked his way up to director of sales, senior director of business development and, now, vice president of business development. Throughout his 11 years at NAIOP, Ware has generated $5.8 million in revenue; doubled sponsorship revenues for the association’s industrial conference, I.con; and increased sponsorship levels by 30 percent for Development: The Annual Conference for Commercial Real Estate, which is held each fall. In 2008, when Ware took over as head of the business development department, the association also marked its highest grossing year for business development.
“Chris has been an asset to the association for the last 11 years,” said Thomas J. Bisacquino, NAIOP president and CEO. “His drive, persistence and extensive experience always produce results that maximize exposure for our supporters and benefit our members.”
Ware leads the business development department at NAIOP. Under his leadership, his department develops, implements, and manages advertising for various association products, including Development magazine, the NAIOP Buyers Guide, and the NAIOP website. The department also manages the sponsorship programs for all NAIOP annual conferences, including I.con: The Industrial Conference and Development: The Annual Conference for Commercial Real Estate.
Ware is a graduate of The College of William and Mary in Virginia with a B.A. in history. Before joining NAIOP, Ware served as the exhibition sales manager for J. Spargo and Associates, where he spearheaded a team that generated more than $6.7 million ($3.5 million personally) in an 18-month period. Ware has been a featured speaker at several industry conferences, including the Association Marketing Forum, the Association Media & Publishing Webinar, the Association Media & Publishing Annual Conference, and ExpoNext.
