NeighborWorks America invites qualified community development nonprofits to apply for a share of $26.5 million in grants to revitalize distressed communities hurt by the foreclosure crisis

WASHINGTON, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — NeighborWorks America announced that the application period is open beginning November 28 for one-time grants to revitalize distressed communities suffering from the direct and/or indirect effects of the foreclosure crisis. Projects proposed should support and further existing multi-faceted, place-based initiatives working to transform communities. The one-time grants are part of Project Reinvest, a limited and targeted program from NeighborWorks America, not related to its core grant operations.

An informational webinar to guide applicants through the process is scheduled for Dec. 1 at 3 p.m., ET.  The application period closes 8 p.m., ET on Jan. 9. Grantee awards are expected to be announced in April 2017.
