WASHINGTON, D.C. – RealEstateRama – On Thursday, May 23 at 1:00 p.m. EDT, officials with the Associated General Contractors of America and HCSS will unveil new state* and national survey results highlighting the dangers of highway work zones for motorists and workers and call for new measures to protect workers and motorists in those work zones. The association’s chief executive officer, Jeffrey Shoaf, will discuss the results of an AGC-HCSS survey. Skip Partington, vice president with Elizabeth City, N.C.-based Barnhill Contracting, will talk about how an employee was recently killed in a highway work zone crash. And Glenn Morris, employee ambassador with Colchester, Vt.-based ADA Traffic Control, will talk about the dangers facing the road flaggers he works with.
