NJCDC to Hold Great Falls Neighborhood Summit in Paterson This Saturday
WHAT: On Saturday, September 21, New Jersey Community Development Corporation (NJCDC) will hold its Third Annual Great Falls Neighborhood Summit. It’s an exciting time to be in Paterson, and especially to live and/or work in the Great Falls Historic District and the surrounding neighborhood. Residents have witnessed numerous improvements over the past few years, and several additional projects are in development. This event will give local residents an opportunity to hear directly from those responsible for upcoming construction projects, ask questions, and engage in dialogue.
WHO: Neighborhood residents will directly interact with those responsible for leading upcoming projects in the Great Falls Neighborhood, following remarks from NJCDC Founder & CEO Bob Guarasci. Projects being presented on are:
· Passaic County Jail/Spruce Street Corridor Project – John Bartlett, Director, Passaic County Board of County Commissioners
· Quarry Lawn at the ATP Site – Darren Boch, National Park Service and Gianfranco Archimede, City of Paterson
· Alexander Hamilton Visitor Center – Martin Vergara, Hamilton Partnership for Paterson and Darren Boch, National Park Service
· Expansion of Great Falls Youth Center – Bob Guarasci, NJCDC
· The Great Falls Center (Former Glenro Building) – John Oostdyk, Servant’s Heart Ministry
· Vistas Park – Gianfranco Archimede, City of Paterson
· New Project at Spruce and Grand Streets (Former Dr.’s Cave Site) – Michael DeBlasio, NJCDC
· Great Falls Youth Arts Center (Former First Presbyterian Church) – Bob Guarasci and Michael DeBlasio, NJCDC
· Westside Park – Bob Guarasci and Eddie Gonzalez, NJCDC
