PMGH Announces New M-100 Designations

Houston, TX – November 19, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Principal Management Group of Houston, an Associa company, is proud to announce that Mike Crahan, Hilary Chala, Judy Hedden, Cindy Nghiem, Rachel Richmond and Ana Maria Varela  have all completed the Community Associations Institute (CAI) M-100, the beginning course of the community management education track.

The CAI M-100 “Essentials of Community Association Management” covers 11 of the basic functions of association management from financial and facilities management to legal and management topics. Through its manager education program, CAI offers 14 separate courses from basic to advanced levels, that cover all aspects of management and operation of community associations of all sizes and types.

“Managers at PMGH are encouraged to further their education and serve as some of the top leaders in the community management field,” said Vicki Ward, President PMGH. “These individuals have completed the M-100 as proof of their dedication to their clients and their chosen careers.”

Crahan has worked in the community management industry for more than 12 years. During that time he has worked in real estate development and has served on 11 association boards. Previously, he worked in the golf club resort management industry.

Chala has been with PMGH and Associa since 2009. She has managed an association that was awarded the CAI CARES for Creative Solutions award and she has been honored as Employee of the Quarter.

Hedden possess more than 20 years of experience in the construction, home building and land development fields. A member of the community association industry since 2005, she previously served as a paralegal in IP, patent and corporate law at a prestigious law firm. With PMGH, Hedden has served as the liaison to the boards of numerous single family, multi-family and active adult communities.

Nghiem has also been in the community association industry since 2005. She began her career as part of an office support team and quickly was promoted to assistant to the CEO. At PMGH, Nghiem oversees various portfolios and co-manages master planned communities.

Richmond is a senior team leader and came to PMGH as a former business owner, branch manager and employee for a local homebuilder where she served on numerous boards as a secretary/treasurer. In addition to her role as senior team leader, Richmond serves as the Vice President of Education for the Principal Speakers Toastmasters Club.

Varela began her career in education as an ESP teacher for more than 13 years in Argentina. She began working in the community management industry six years ago and grew from working at a concierge/front desk agent to becoming a community manager in very short time. Varela moved to Houston in 2009 and transitioned from on-site management to having a portfolio of single family and townhomes.
