House approves legislation to maximize America’s energy potential and power economy, while President Obama pushes harmful energy agenda at U.N. summit
WASHINGTON, D.C. – December 04, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.), member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, voted to pass a comprehensive energy bill and two resolutions disapproving of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean Power Plan for new and existing power plants. The House passed these bills to support American energy and power our economy, all while President Obama is in Paris at the U.N. summit promoting his radical climate change agenda that would harm the U.S. economy.
“While President Obama is in Paris pushing his damaging climate change agenda, Congress is busy working on legislation that capitalizes on the abundance of reliable and affordable energy that America needs to power our economy,” Pompeo said. “Federal policy should be about the American family, not worshipping a radical environmental agenda. But unfortunately, the Obama administration is pushing its so-called Clean Power Plan that would drive up electricity costs for Kansans and people across this country without providing any measurable environmental benefit. I am pleased the House passed these three bills that are crucial to protecting Kansans and Americans from EPA’s reckless and unprecedented power grabs.”
