Promotion designed to engage consumers through social media
Denver, CO – May 30, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, RE/MAX, LLC. is launching its new social media campaign, “What Moves You?” Designed to complement its national ad campaign “For All the Things that Move You,” this promotion specifically encourages consumers to share their pivotal moments in life with a photo, a story or video. There are weekly gift card prizes and a chance to win a grand prize of $10,000.
This nine-week social media contest allows consumers to illustrate what moves them – whether they are welcoming a new addition to the family, accepting a promotion in a new city, tying the knot or even downsizing now that the last one flew the coop.
The best part, only consumers do the sharing and the voting. “RE/MAX is the first real estate company to interface with our consumers in this manor through social media,” said Margaret Kelly, Chief Executive Officer. “It’s a unique promotion that engages consumers with our 2012 ad campaign.”
Stories, videos and/or photos will be uploaded via the contest website, whatmovesyou.remax.com. Anyone can vote and comment on the submitted entries. Viewers are also encouraged to share the submitted stories on their own social media profiles. Nearly 90 networks are available to distribute these stories; most common among these are Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Google+.
A weekly winner will be chosen for the first eight weeks, receiving a $750 Apple gift card. In the final week, a grand prize winner will be selected, receiving a $10,000 cash prize.
If that isn’t enough motivation, there is also an incentive to help injured and sick children. For each story submitted, RE/MAX, LLC will donate $1 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, up to a total $8,000 donation.
