“Today’s jobs report from the Department of Labor shows a continuing slump in the manufacturing sector and that wage growth was flat, further evidence that the Trump-GOP economic policies, which the president promised would revitalize both, are failing.
“It’s depressing that instead of working with Democrats on major infrastructure legislation to help American workers and their families, the president chose to seek foreign interference to help his campaign.
“Additionally, the report is an important reminder that the lion’s share of the benefits of the GOP tax law, sold as a ‘miracle’ for the middle class, went to corporate executives and wealthy shareholders while workers have largely been left in the dust.”
