Washington, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — Granger MacDonald, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and a home builder and developer from Kerrville, Texas, today issued the following statement regarding Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt’s proposal to begin the process to roll back the Clean Power Plan rule:
“NAHB commends EPA Administrator Pruitt for signing a proposal today to begin the process of repealing the Clean Power Plan rule. The rule would have encouraged the adoption of overly stringent building energy codes that do little to lower carbon dioxide emissions from housing while needlessly raising the cost of new homes and hurting housing affordability.”
