Citizens Housing & Planning Council (CHPC) today released an interim study examining an innovative New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) pilot program that transferred management of six Section 8 properties to a new public-private partnership, Triborough Preservation Partners, making new capital funds available for repairs and introducing new property management.

HPTF Financing Helps Preserve Affordable Housing Units in Shepherd Park

The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) closed a loan agreement totaling more than $3.1 million that will help preserve 21 affordable housing units in Ward 4 for a tenant association invoking its purchase rights through the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA). The funding was made available through the Housing Production Trust Fund (HPTF).

Mayor Bowser Announces New Affordable Housing for Petworth

Mayor Bowser and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) announced Victory Housing with Brinshore Development as the developer selected to redevelop the historic Hebrew Home at 1125 Spring Road, NW in Ward 4. The project will produce 187 residential units, with 80 percent of the units created as affordable housing for seniors and families.

Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation (Rainbow), a Phoenix-based nonprofit organization that provides service-enriched housing programs for residents of rental housing communities throughout the country, has been selected by Reliant Group Management as the service provider for La Palmilla Apartments, a 267-unit apartment complex located at 3838 West Camelback Road in Phoenix. The property was recently purchased by a new tax credit limited partnership sponsored by Reliant Group Management and will have all units restricted to households making 60 percent of the area median income.
