HUD HEADQUARTERS AWARDED PRESTIGIOUS LEED SILVER CERTIFICATION
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced today that it has been awarded LEED Silver for the comprehensive energy renovation of its headquarters, the Robert C. Weaver Federal Building, located in Washington, D.C. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system is the most recognized program for buildings, homes and communities that are designed, constructed, maintained and operated for improved environmental and human health performance

The National Real Estate Investors Association (NREIA) announced this week that three of its chapters received an “Award of Excellence” at their annual MidYear meeting, which took place last weekend in Atlanta, GA. ABC’s Trimmer Foundation Awards Scholarships to Merit Shop Construction Students
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) announced the first 10 winners of the Build Your Future Scholarship through ABC’s Trimmer Construction Education Foundation (TCEF). The scholarships are awarded to the top 10 students attending an NCCER-accredited program or a state/federally approved apprenticeship program in a merit-shop training facility. The scholarships are funded through a pledge of $100,000 from Build Your Future over the next five years.
