VA Announces Amendment to SSVF NOFA

Under the current Feb. 3, 2015 NOFA, VA is offering up to $300 million to current SSVF grantees seeking funding for their existing, renewable grants. The amendment announced today will expand the pool of potential applicants to include current SSVF grantees with 3-year, non-renewable grants. The overall level of funding available through the amended NOFA remains at $300 million

Cambridge Ends Exclusionary Zoning

On Monday, February 10, the Cambridge City Council voted 8 – 1 in favor of a zoning petition allowing new multi-family housing, up to four stories, to be built city-wide, by right. This change undoes decades of exclusionary zoning, in which the zoning code was weaponized to enforce segregation by limiting where apartments could be built.
