Upper Marlboro, MD – December 16, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Now’s the time to vote for your favorite among this year’s 17 EnergyValue Housing Award finalists – the voting site for the “People’s Choice” award is up and running.
Once on the page, click on photos of the finalists’ homes and get an energy snapshot of the design and construction features included. When you’ve reviewed the highlights for each finalist, make your selection by clicking the “Pick Me” button under your favorite.
Only one vote can be submitted from a single computer. The deadline to vote is Friday, February 3, 2012, at noon Eastern Time.
The winner of the People’s Choice award will be announced during the 2012 EVHA ceremony on February 8 in Orlando. If you plan to attend the International Builders’ Show, tickets are still available for this celebration that is sure to be the show’s coolest event — it will be held at Icebar on International Drive, a few short blocks from the Orange County Convention Center.
The unique venue for the celebration will allow finalists to be showcased in “climate-appropriate” areas — cold climate winners in the Icebar, which stays a chilly 27 degrees; hot climate winners in the toasty Fire Lounge, heated to 72 degrees; and moderate climate winners in the ambient patio area.
The evening will be punctuated with live musical entertainment from Soul-R-Energy, an acclaimed Florida duo. The event will provide fun surprises and great food and beverages — including ice luges with specialty drinks.
